Pixel Wolf Studios are running a beginners course in game design and development for young teens. The course encompasses the development cycle of creating games with a focus on design for mobile devices, moving from the planning and prototype stage right up to the coding and development.
The course is targeted at teens between 12 and 15 years of age with no previous coding or game design skills and aims to give an introduction into game development and design focusing on mobile devices using industry standard software: Corona SDK.
The course’s 8 sessions will run for three hours every Saturday following a structured curriculum. Each week will have its own primary focus to include topics such as Ludology, Game Design, Visual and Audio Asset Production, an introduction to Corona SDK, Game Development and Programming and much more. Participants will finish the course having developed two mobile games, with the skillset to continue to create many more!
