Computer networks are essential to business and society today, and cybersecurity is about protecting those networks from attacks and damage.
People from Ireland’s cybersecurity industry meet at the annual IRISSCERT Conference on Cybercrime, which also hosts the HackEire contest. It’s a race between teams to exploit weaknesses in computer systems in a controlled environment.
The competition is a mixture of fun and skill, and a reminder of the important role that cybersecurity plays today.
