“What school subjects did you find useful when you went on to study engineering?”
“Do you take on people on work experience?”
“Would you recommend working in big companies or in start-ups?”
“How do you see the energy sector developing in the next few years?”
These are just some of the questions you’ve been posting online to people working in the energy sector in Ireland.
The panel members who have been taking your questions include people working at EirGrid, Bord Gáis Networks, the ESB and wave energy company Wavebob, as well as recruitment experts from Cpl.
The energy sector is rapidly expanding and has a very bright future. Mechanical, chemical and electrical engineers research and develop efficient new ways to harness and distribute energy, as well as new forms of renewable energy production such as wind and wave energy.
