IT graduates at NUI Galway have won awards recently for new technologies including a musical score app for mobile devices, computer security, and an online hotel booking system.

Young app developer talks the talk

Irish developer Harry Moran  currently holds the title for youngest app developer in Ireland. He is one of a new breed of tech kids making waves around the world. Californian 12-year-old Thomas Suarez recently delivered this presentation at the TEDx talks in Manhattan Beach. He sees technology as key to education and has already begun his career as an app developer. He wants to see more young people work together to create new apps, as he says parents and teachers don’t really know how.
