Over one hundred students and guidance counsellors had the chance to visit Microsoft Ireland on its Inspiring Careers day as part of Science Week in November. The students met members of different faculties within Microsoft, including Marketing, Human Resources, Sales, and the development team. Students also got to view products and applications being developed within Microsoft Ireland. Check out some of the things they heard and saw:
The students also had the opportunity to ask questions of a panel comprising Microsoft Ireland Managing Director, Paul Rellis; Discover Science and Engineering Director, Peter Brabazon; Paddy Cosgrave, founder of the Dublin Web Summit and Calum Cawley, a student from IT Sligo who won Microsoft’s Global Imagine Cup competition in New York in July.
