Career Stories: Ian Butler, Trilogy
Ian Butler developed his aptitude for troubleshooting as an engineer, and is on the lookout for more talented problem-solvers.
Ian’s team at Trilogy works on a range of different services – some down to the scale of the individual computer and some large-scale installations.
“I’m responsible for the technical and professional services that Trilogy deliver to our clients. Under technical services, I look after our large and growing number of clients, overseeing day to-day support, remote management, advance planning etc. For some of our clients, we act as their IT departments, and we cover clients 24/7.
“Under professional services, we work on larger projects and installations. We might be dealing with an upgrade of services or a change of location. We would use a project manager and senior consultant engineers. I plan, quote for and implement these projects. I manage both teams, which amounts to some 32 people.”
